The entire cockpit started life as one button box attached to my Obutto gaming cockpit. From there it slowly morphed into a full simulator.
There was a point where I made the decisions to go full Warthog. It was when I bought a tool that cost more than the entire project had so far.
Here is how I built the actual cockpit structure itself, minus all the electronics and panels.

The decision to go with multiple projectors was planned from the beginning. To save on costs, I designed and built the screen myself for under $120 bucks. Here is how I did it.
