Lots of research and planning took place before anything else. I explain how I got the plans

I had all the parts of my cockpit pre-cut out by a CNC Machine Shop. I explain how easy that made my life, and more importantly how much it cost!

Putting it together was quite simple.

Lots of screws and glue, with a few little tweaks

Along the way I found some glaring issues and fixed them on the fly. I explain the changes I made, and what I would do differently if I started it again.

The ACES-II was an easy build, but I changed a lot to make it look more realistic. 

I also made it much more comfortable!

Simple methods to paint and finish it to make it look more realistic. No specialist tools, just house paint, masking tape and a roller!
